Next up: Reference Starter Packs. It’s a new approach. It’s a build your own world view based on the ideas of ‘historical’ women.

Historically, we’ve had a habit of putting men on pedestals—literally and figuratively—while the brilliant women who shaped ideas, art, science, and politics are overshadowed. They were there, we’ve just been taught not to see them. Reference Starter Packs is my way of shifting the reference points we use for thinking, arguing, creating, and imagining the future. Each ‘pack’ introduces a thematic collection of smart and gutsy historical women whose ideas are worth building on. By providing names, faces, and thought-starters, these packs seek to diversify your mental library and make women’s intellectual legacies as accessible and familiar as those of any so-called ‘great man’ of history. Ideas have immense power—they shape our laws, news, economies, stories and more — so if we want fresh perspectives and better answers, we need to draw from more than just half of the conversation. This project is an invitation to actively bring women’s voices into everyday thought until their impact is universally recognised and built upon.

The exact themes still have to be set, but will be along the lines of “Empathy, Care, and Community Building”, “Action, Perseverance, and Resilience” or “Art, Creativity, and Design for a Better World”

Have a name, idea, or story that deserves a place in the conversation? I’d love to hear it—let’s connect.
